Make a Telegram video note from a video
Telegram records round videos only from the camera. Here any clip becomes one — framed to the centre, sized and encoded the way a video note needs.
Drop a file hereor click to choose one — it opens in the studio with this tool ready. Small files need no account.Choose a fileHow it works
- 1Drop the video — horizontal or vertical.
- 2Pick “Telegram video note”, or a round WebM with a transparent background, or a round GIF.
- 3Download it — or have our Telegram bot send it to you as a real round note.
What you get
Framed for the circle
The picture is cropped to a square around the centre and fills it, so nothing important ends up outside the round frame.
Within Telegram's rules
Length up to 60 seconds and a note-sized square in H.264 — the format Telegram expects for a video note.
Round WebM and GIF too
For a site, a sticker or a presentation: a round WebM with real transparency, or a looping round GIF.
Trim first
Longer than a minute? Trim the piece you need in the same studio, then turn it into a note.
Same thing over the API
One header, one multipart request with the file, then poll the job or take a webhook. The same operation you just tried in the browser.
Questions
Why does a downloaded note look square?
Telegram draws it round only when it is sent as a video note. A regular file upload shows the square — that is why the bot can send it for you.
Is the sound kept?
Yes, the note keeps the original sound unless you mute it in custom settings.
Do I need an account?
Short videos can be processed without signing up. An account adds a daily free allowance, bulk processing and an API key.
Can I automate it?
Yes. Send the file to the API with service “clipconvert” and operation “circle” with format “note”, then poll the job or take a webhook.
